Method and methodology of carrying out of work. The literary review is spent on the basis of spent research works on a theme. Theoretical preconditions were developed with use of principles modeling of technological processes of sewage treatment and forecasting methods. The basic technological parameters on clearing were established by carrying out of experiences at specially constructed stands.
The results of the work. The put goal have been achieved. I have carried out theoretical and experimental studies on the effectiveness of the clarifier with the sludge blanket use for separating the flakes of activated sludge or biofilm (upon the results of laboratory and industrial research the diagrams Сос=f(Vвосх), Свзв.сл=f(Vвосх), Свзв.сл=f(Нсл), J= f(Нсл) have been drawn, as well as, the kinetics curves of lowering the interface boundary;
and the indices NH3, NO2, NО3, БПК5, oxidability, ash content chemical oxygen demand, microscopying of sludge blanket have been determined);
developed new structures for biological treatment of waster water which include the zones of aeration and the clarifier with the sludge blanket with the commissioning;
carried out the testing of new structures and got the data under production conditions with the analysis of their similarity with theoretical end experimental data as well as with the feasibility study for the use of the given technology of treating biologically treated waste water adjusted for the industrial peculiarities of East Kazakhstan.
Major constructive, technological, and operational characteristics.
Experimental and literature data have let come to the conclusion about the effectiveness of biologically treated water defecation in clarifiers with the activated sludge blanket or biofilm. It has been revealed that the concentration of the activated sludge or biofilm in the sludge blanket are within the range of 12 to 3 g/l at upstream rate change from 0.6 up to 1.8 mm/s. The dynamic balance of the sludge blanket is kept within the range of upstream rate change in the zone of defecation from 0.6 up to 1.8 mm/s at the alteration of the sludge blanket height from 1 up to 2 m. Thus we provide the high effect of water defecation comparable with the effect of aftertreatment on sand filters. Notably, the concentration of suspended particles in clarified water is within the range of 3-10 mg/l, БПК5 – 5-10 mg/l at optimal upstream rates from 0.6 up to 1.8 mm/s. Sludge index slightly grows in the height of sludge blanket from the bottom up and changes average from 15 up to 50 sm3/g;
with the growing sludge index the concentration of activated sludge or the sludge blanket biofilm decreases;
at the sludge index growing from 26 to 35 sm3/g the concentration decreases from 11 down to 5 g/l.
Treated in the clarifier water consumption is allowed. This change is conditioned by optimal allowed water upstream rate (0.6-1.8 mm/s).
The degree of implementing.
The new structures of clarifiers with the sludge blanket have been implemented on the biofiltration treatment plant in Novaya Sogra, where waste water from the village and titanium-magnesium plant come;
on aeration treatment plants “Maleevskiy Mine” of Zyryanovsk ODC of JSC “Kazzink”, mine “40 Let VLKSM” of Ridder ODC of JSC “Kazzink”, Ridder;
Bukhtarminskaya Power station of JSC “Kazzink”, Cement Production Plant in Novaya Bukhtarma village;
and they have been introduced in the training process of the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering in D. Serikbaev EKSTU on the sub-department “RUWAB and HGS.
Recommendations for implementation or the results of implementing the research. Developed introduced into industry and successfully shown during operation, the new structures of clarifiers can be implemented at other plants of aeration or biofiltration.
Application area. The results of the given work can be used at treatment plants for defecation of biologically treated waste water with the use of the new technology of defecation in clarifiers with the sludge blanket, which allows to improve engineering-and-economical performance of the water defecation process and to solve the problem of water aftertreatment at the same time.
Economic efficiency or significance of the work. In the process of work engineering-and-economical performance of the clarifiers with the sludge blanket use at the treatment plants has been determined. At the capacity of a treatment plant thous. m3/day the saving rate is 630.4 thousand tenges a year (prices of 2001);
averted loss is 2,301 thousand tenges a year.
Predictive suppositions about development of the research object. The studying the use of the technology of treatment biologically treated economic domestic and similar in composition industrial waste water, carried out on the example of treating waste water of East Kazakhstan oblast objects, may be adjusted for the use at other treatment plants during the treatment of analogous waste water during their reconstruction, capacity increase or new construction.
The connection of the Dissertation with research. The research has been done according to the plan of research work of scientific production laboratory of “Water Problems” of D. Serikbaev East Kazakhstan State Technical University.
